Common questions

Asked & answered.

The questions we keep being asked. If yours isn’t here, drop us an email — we’ll add it.

01 When’s the RSVP deadline? General

1 May 2027. We’ll need final numbers for the venue and shuttles by then. Earlier is better — head to the RSVP page.

02 What’s the dress code? The day

Friday: formal · island linen. Suits, summer dresses, anything that won’t wilt in 26°C. We’d ask everyone to avoid pure white for the day (any shade) — anything else goes.

Welcome drinks (Thursday): resort casual. BBQ (Saturday): whatever’s clean. Shoes should be wedge or block — the ceremony is on a stone terrace.

03 Can I bring my kids? Kids & plus ones

We adore your kids, but this is a small adult-only celebration on Friday — the venue can’t accommodate little ones safely on the cliffside. The Thursday drinks and Saturday BBQ are happily open to families.

The hotel has a babysitting service we can recommend; reply to your RSVP confirmation email if you’d like the contact.

04 Do I get a plus one? Kids & plus ones

If your invitation is addressed to you and a partner (named or “& guest”), yes. If it’s just to you — sorry, but no. We’d love to host everyone’s friends, but the venue caps us at 90.

If you’re unsure, just ask Kim — she’d rather sort it now than at the door.

05 Should I hire a car? Travel

Honestly? No. The roads are narrow, often unmarked, and you’ll want to drink. We’ve arranged free shuttles to and from the venue on Friday, and taxis run constantly along the east coast.

If you want to explore the south of the island midweek, hire a car for a day or two — but you don’t need one for the wedding itself.

06 When should I arrive and leave? Travel

Arrive Thursday, leave Sunday is the standard. Welcome drinks Thursday at 19:00, BBQ Saturday from 18:00 — anything else is a bonus.

If you can stay longer, do. The island is at its quietest after 20 September and the swimming is at its best.

07 What’s the weather like in September? The day

Mid- to late-September is ~26°C in the day, ~19°C in the evening. Bright sun, almost no rain, water still warm enough to swim. Bring a light layer for the evenings and sunscreen for the day.

08 Are gifts expected? Gifts

Your presence is the gift — really. We’ve been living together for years and have all the kitchenware we could ever fit.

If you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon fund (a month in Japan), we have a Prezola page. Link to follow on the final logistics email.

09 What’s the currency & cards/cash? General

Greece uses the euro (€). Cards are widely accepted at the hotel and most restaurants, but tavernas and beach bars often prefer cash — pull €100–€150 from an ATM when you arrive.

10 What time does the day actually run? The day

14:30 shuttles depart hotel. 15:00 ceremony. 15:45 drinks & canapés on the terrace. 19:00 dinner under the olive trees. 22:00 dancing. 01:00 shuttles home. Stragglers welcome at the hotel bar until they kick us out.

11 Can I share photos? General

Yes, please! Tag #KimAndAlexInZante on Instagram and we’ll pull them into a shared album. One small ask: keep phones away during the ceremony — the photographer’s got it covered, and we want to see your faces, not your screens.

12 Is the venue accessible? Travel

Mostly, yes — the main terrace is step-free and there’s an accessible bathroom. The ceremony itself involves a short cobbled path; we can arrange transport in a buggy. Please let us know on your RSVP so we can plan for it.
